The objective for this project was to create a clean Scandinavian inspired wordmark and logo that could be used throughout their two shops in Montreal and Vancouver. The shop’s UPS is the type of bikes it brings in and it was important to find a way to reflect this in the branding.
Deliverables: Logo, brand palette, business cards, tags, outdoor signage, A frame signage.
The first thought was to create a brand system of icon-like representations of the varying specialty bikes they sell. But after choosing the geometric typeface the ‘O’ felt like a natural way to bring it all together. The open wheel O ties the icons to the wordmark and creates a unique holistic system.
This geometric typography with letters tracked out speaks to the clients scandinavian inspired vision. The colours are clean and refreshing. The dark blue acts well as a base to create contrast against the lighter tones in the palette.
